Today´s flag raising ceremony has been organized by 11c student´s . We have selected the theme “Almost fifty”
INTRODUCCION
Good morning.
Eleventh C has the opportunity to welcome you back, in this important year of celebrations, our 50th anniversary. Certainly, some cycles have finished, giving space for change and evolution, leaving also time for others to new challenges. After twelve years of being here, our generation has been witness of hard work, sacrifices, suffering and more. However, we also have been witnesses of greatness, ripeness and rewards.
We can remember when we were having lunch under a small - green roofed cafeteria or when we slumbered lulled by the notes of an old accordion each Friday. Things have changed much, there's no doubt about it.
Nowadays, legends are bare whispers. The wind still carries the remembrances of myths, of a dragon killed in ages past and buried under the lake, of tails lost long ago of knights venturing themselves into creepy forests of gigantic trees that with time lost their magic and turned to b only bushes.
Now it is time to give the myths the force they once had: We are all history builders; all our actions, every little brick on the time line counts as much as any other, that's why each block has a mark, our own mark. We are not just another brick on the wall as we are now prepared to fight for our piece.
For fifty years we've been fed by legend, but this can't be anymore: It is the moment for recalling, summoning dragons and knights back, so they can keep fighting against life and revive the power hurricanes of fearsome tales about Saint George's School .
