LET`S CELEBRATE LIFE
REFLEXIONS ON LIFE

Have you ever stopped a moment to think how important life is for us? Have you ever thought how much we care about our own life and the lives of other's?

These are just two of the thousands of questions that come up when thinking about life. But before answering these questions, we must first know the exact definition of life:

“LIFE: That property or quality of plants and animals that distinguishes them from inorganic matter or dead organisms; specifically, the cellular biochemical activity or processes of an organism, characterized by the ingestion of nutrients, the storage and use of energy, the excretion of wastes, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment, originating from within the organism”.

Now, let us think for a moment about what position we have for dealing with life. Why is it that we tend to wait for that “magic moment” to change the way we live? Why do we wait for that “magic touch” in our life thinking it will make our life extra special? Obviously, these answers vary from person to person, so our invitation for you today is to take some time to think about the way you could improve this position. We invite you to think about yourselves, what you have done and what you are missing. To think about what you want to do with your future, and to actually start doing something to achieve it.

The possibility of having a nice and fulfilling life is in our own hands. Every unnecessary risk we take jeopardizes our life and future.

We get depressed easily and we get stressed up at any extra pressure. We find ways to get away from it all and to take that break which is always elusive. We are suddenly fed up of the daily drudgery or every day redundant life. We are now aware it is not only material gains that will make us happy but that soothing “peace of mind” feeling which once again plays hide and seek with us that will honestly make us happy both in mind and body. That is why we, the students of 10C , are celebrating the national day of life this morning, and we wish to invite all of you to think about life.

Let us learn to smile, to say hello again to a long lost friend, to hug our family and friends and tell them we love them from the bottom of our hearts, to not judge people but to accept them for what they are, to try and not keep changing rules and values for our convenience. Let us again pick up that paper and pen which has been overtaken by emails and write wonderful letters to our close ones. Let us sit together for lunch or dinner turning off the television. Let us acknowledge and shower praise where it is due. Let us try to compliment or say a nice thing and not let the moment rush by. Let us learn to forgive before it is too late. Let us learn to say sorry when we are in the wrong without false pride and ego coming in our way. Let us learn to fill our hearts with kindness and love. Let us create the magic and live life the way it should really be lived. Fully!!!

  MOMENTS

If only I could live my life over again.
Next time, I would try to make more mistakes.
I would try not to be so perfect. I would try to take things easier.
I would try to be a bit more foolish. In fact, I would try to take fewer things so seriously.
I would be less hygienic.
I would take more risks, go on more trips, see more sunrises, hike more mountains and go swimming in more rivers.
I would go to more places I have never been to before.
I would eat more ice cream and less string beans.
I would only have “real problems” and less “imaginary” ones.
I used to be one of those people that always tried to live each moment of their lives being reasonable and fruitful; Obviously, I also had some few moments of joy.
But, if I could go back in time I would only have “good moments”.
But, just in case you do not know, that is precisely what life is made of: “moments”.
Do not miss out on the “here and now”.
I used to be the type of person that would never dare go anywhere without a thermometer, a hot water bottle, an umbrella and a parachute.
If I could live my life over again I would travel more lightly.
If I could live my life over again I would walk barefoot since the beginning of spring all the way ‘till the end of fall. I would turn more somersaults, see more sunsets and play with more children…….. had I only an entire life before me.
Unfortunately, I‘m 85 years old now and I know I ‘m dying.
